Dryden Mutual Insurance Company sells commercial and personal lines of insurance to businesses and people in New York through independent agents. It has been around for more than 150 years. It was formed in 1860 as Dryden & Groton Mutual Fire Insurance Company by citizens of two rural towns in eastern Tompkins County. Then the company was renamed to the current name in 1984. They are an admitted carrier in New York State. So their policies are subject to and secured by the NYS Guarantee Fund.
